Not sure about the hinge issues, also not sure if it is caused by excess heat/usage etc. if it would be the entire series there would be more complains, no? I think that thing is very solid for the price. Display is ok in HD, touch works fine, keyboard is actually good and cpu is suppose to be strong, 8gigs is enough for most and tou could add more if you really need.
