You've got to use the code within 90 days, if you're buying more than one, it's because you have more than one line to use them on.

You'll receive 12GB on our GSMA network, and 8GB on GSMT and CDMA.

I think so. The price just reduced from its original price a few minutes ago. During BF 2023, it was on sale for $190.

It was $195 a few months ago and it was a FP deal. I was expecting around $180 for BF. But it appears not.

I have used Red Pocket GSMT for over 5 years and am planning to get two renewal kits.

I am currently on RP's 5GB plan on GSMA network. How can I get the 12GB plan. Do I need to be on the 10GB plan to get this?

So what do I select on the eBay page - renewal or new sim? Can a RP rep confirm?
Choose renewal, they will email you the new activation code - typically within 24-48 hours. Apply it the day before your current plan expires. Do it yourself manually, just set yourself a reminder. Even if you forget, you have a 30 day grace period so you can even apply it late.

Sorry for hijacking this. I'm in the same boat. What if my plan expires outside their 90 days period (assuming same period where you need to activate the new sim within 90 days of purchase?) Do I need to renew it by the end of that 90 days or it should be good until I use it ? Thanks.

I've hit this scenario before twice -- one time it was my wife's plan still had 60 more days beyond the 90 day period but the new plan had more data than her old one. In this case, I put in the code on day 90, before it would expire - in this case she lost the 60 days.

The other year, she had 5 days left after day 90. It was the same plan so I put in the code on day 90 to be safe and it just stacked on top of the 5 days....

So, in your scenario you'll either lose what you had if it's a differing plan, you'll stack on top of what you already have if it's the same plan, or you'll lose the plan you bought if you waited too long (over 90 days).

One more scenario that's outside of what you described -- my plan was expiring well BEFORE the 90 day period -- I let my plan expire and waited as long as I could to put in the code -- I waited so I don't have to deal with being FORCED to lose my plan waiting for the random deals like this since it's 360 days. Eventually you're going to hit the point like this if you activate right around these deals, so that's what I ended up doing -- I think you get 30 days to get your phone straight before you start losing your number....

You have 90 days from purchase to use the activation before it expires. I do not recommend exceeding it. Don't expect RP to extend it. Consider it a hard stop.

I haven't gone through the port out process yet but the only additional atypical step is that you have to call RP to release your number after the receiving carrier gets your request. That's what usually trips people up because other carriers don't require it. I guess it's a security measure.
Everything was done from the redpocket website. No call was necessary. All you need to do is tap "port management", turn off port blocker and simply port out from there. 1-2-3.... No phone calls or chat to either phone companies. Click port management again and the account number and pin number popup screen shows up. It says "Your number transfer details". Put the account number and pin number into your activation process on the other company website. Redpocket customer service is always good for me. It actually got even better and way faster with the "2 minute customer care". I always do chat when it comes to all phone companies.

They've got a 5GB discount running from the ebay site as well: Link [ebay.com]

I think this is the same price as last year's promotion

Last year the 5GB plan was $10/month. I paid $131.39 in total for the 360 day plan. It seems there is no deal this year for the lower tier plans, or they've increased the prices.

Good to know you don't need to contact CS to do the port. I saw that 'port blocker is on' button on the app.

You need to contact RP to release the port, if your line is GSMA. I had to do it 4 times for my 4 lines I moved out.

Just make sure you do it after you submit the port in request with the new carrier. RP can only do it after they receive the request in the system. It takes 5 min, they just verify your details.

Am I the only one who has noticed that Red Pocket's corporate mailing address is a UPS store in Thousand Oaks, CA?

yeah, same. $180+tax isn't a deal. I can see them raising it a bit, but not paying $50 more.
