Osaki chairs don't last with regular use. I recommend the cheaper chairs like the ones at BJs and Costco. They last much longer
I've been using mine for over 5 yrs. Daily use still works fine.
Osaki store is local to me. New or old, they all have the same massage functions. New ones have touch display, app control, bigger screen, different outside panels, colors, and model name. Zero difference in actual massage.

Do these 4D chairs give a lot deeper massage than a 3D? I purchased a 3D home depot special Titan "Prestige for $1999" last year.
It is nice but I feel like the SL track could be deeper and it also doesn't go all the way up my neck nor does it go to the lower back towards the buttocks where lower back pain hurts a lot.
Would it be worth it to 'upgrade' to a 4D version.
Would 4D cover more on the SL track down to the upper thighs or to the lower back/ buttocks?

Great Question! 4D doesnt necesarily makes it deeper. The movements are advanced, and the intensity of the rollers are case by case, some chairs have a stronger baseline and some chairs are smoother. So Id recommend Paragon or Signature! That will really hit your spot of stronger deep tissue massage.

Also if you want deeper (can't help you with travel length of your SL track) you should see if you can unzip and remove the padding entirely. I had the same issue with my chair but once I removed the padding the intensity is amazing when sitting directly on the rollers.

I havent done that before, but what we do is flip over the cushion pillow. that will give you nice neck and shoulder massage(nice squeeze)
We just got our Osaki Titan(not this model) and so far my main complaint is the extending footrest has so much tension it just pushes your feet back up and keeps your knees bent unless you intentionally shove and hold your legs straight.kinda the opposite of relaxing.
Is this like those massage chairs that you can pay like a dollar to sit in for a minute at the mall? Are there versions of those that actually feel good and that people would pay insane money like this for? I am utterly confused

Sorry it didn't work out for you. I think we all order things like this and hope we don't get a lemon. Five years straight daily use (similar model 3D) and no issues. Love it - now I hope I just didn't jinx myself.
