Dishwashers don't need expensive soap. That's not how they work. They're not like washing machines. They rely on high pressure, heated water. And pods aren't great. Buy powdered soap so you can pretreat. Here is a comprehensive video:

TLDW?

1. Clean your dishwasher's filter (if it has one)
2. Use the faucet near your dishwasher to purge the cold water from your hot water pipes
3. Make sure you're using the dishwasher compartment that releases the soap on-time
4. Consider pretreating your dishes with soap in the small divot near the normal compartment
5. Don't add too much soap or it will leave residue. You only need more soap if you have hard water.

All of the different colors and liquids and other nonsense incorporated into this tab and it does no better than Kirkland Signature tabs where you get 110 tabs for $1 less than this.
