True story. Clipped a live wire life an idiot with these and I'm still here telling how much of an idiot I am. I thought it was a dead wire buried in my yard. It wasn't but on a positive note, I have power 300ft in the middle of my yard and I'm not dead. Tool melted but I'm here

The Irwin is a great tool. I own one and a Klein. I recently purchased a Kaiweets brand (currently $13 on amzn) to keep as a backup in my desk. I must say this design has been cloned (and refined) so much now, many chinese knock-offs seem on par with the brand names. Time will tell as to its durability.

$20 for the Irwin is a solid price. I've had mine since 2018 and paid $15 back then on a deal.

Would be more surprising if you weren't alive and still posting on sd.

Having said that. These things are great. I don't even bother trying to strip a wire anymore, just grab, squeeze, done.

Ya i dont think u can die from a tiny wire 300 ft away from source… imagine the resonance/resistance and loss of amps/voltage at your point of contact

I touched an open christmas light wire the other day and was nothing more than a quick jolt , didnt even phase, just yelled a four letter word, and quickly

That's why it's always a good idea to let the mother-in-law test it first...

If the wire was not hooked to your meter ...you could save money by routing it into your home.

Great tool, have had one for maybe a decade? Use it allll the time. Strips wires of all sizes. If you find it sliding on a wire just rotate the wire or tool slightly and it will bite every time.
