Bought two 3 pack sensors with gateway since needed atleast 6 sensors and its cheaper (by ~$12) that way instead of buying 1pack gateway + 5 pack sensors.

...they can still function as a dumb alarm cheaper than a regular stand alone water alarm.
do they work without hub/internet?

Some apps let you create individual homes and you share with your Tenants.
how about Govee's app?
Quote from professorman :

I have them in the following locations:
- Under 3 bathroom sinks
- Under kitchen sink
- Under washing machine
- Under water heater
- in 3 floor vents, since I have that weird rain flooding issue
If you have a dual sink, do you use one or two?
also, why not under the toilet faucet?

The one you linked is a newer model. It has greater range and supports more than 10 units. The one the OP posted is what I have and they gave worked well. So it depends on your use case.
The larger range was an important piece for me. I had the older version but switch to this newer longer range version because I wanted to make sure they were always connected. up to 100 sensors, 2 years battery life instead of 1 year, 400m vs 60m distance. Wifi is spotty sometimes and this new version is not expensive. Plus works with Alexa, Google.

Looks like they changed the coupon to be 30% off instead of 40% off.

Can anyone attest to the water detection benefit over yolink? Not the battery life or range but detection based on drops of water or big leak? At least someone commented there is 3 electrodes on bottom for wider detection area vs yolink?

Anyone know if the water sensors and hygrometer/thermometers can share the same WiFi gateway?

Yeah that is some BS to change the % of the coupon.

I'm guessing that it was too far discounted compared to the 4-pack of the Yolink, so they were leaving money on the table.

This makes me lean towards Yolink.

Been reading the reviews of the Govee and dislike it already, for a couple of reasons:
1) hard to remove battery cover
2) screws on bottom that rust
3) the sound of the audible alarm (as compared to the Yolink version)
4) Design (Yolink is a puck design so the top can pool any water better for the top sensors)

Bummer I read the newer one isnt backward compatible with the older sensors. This updated one looks good.
