Seems like a name you can trust- BUT- I used mine for 3 hours- and again the next year- and brand new batteries would not charge- no support from Metabo

I have the 16ga and love it. My only gripe is that a larger battery isn't sold locally and not very common item. If you plan to use this even for half a day, get a larger battery as it seems to run down quite fast. When I was replacing interior door trims, at least with the 16 ga for an hour on and off, the battery was depleted by 50% by the end, so it's definitely not an all-day battery. The battery charger is also finicky, and if the temperature is even slightly lower, say around 45°F, it will not charge at all. DeWalt will stop charging around 35'ish, but it seems extra sensitive with Metabo.
I only had it misfire once, but that was also using Hitach nails so YMMV. Hitachi nails are the only brand I use with my Bostitch and Hitachi pneumatic nailers. I do oil it every time I use it for a project also. Cordless is convenient when I cannot bring a compressor and have to fix things quickly at a remote location.

I had this and used it for an accent wall. Not a single misfire. My only issue is that it leaves larger holes than the compressor one. So, I returned it but at $179.
I might get it at $100…

The other one is brushless, has a slightly different ergonomic setup and comes with a bag.

Funny coincidence, I bought this exact model from Lowe's earlier today because Amazon's price was way higher, looks like they're just matching. Here's the Lowes link. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Metabo-H...5014903527

This is better than the RYOBI. I got the Ryobi in September for dirt cheap but it's finicky, has misfires and is very bulky.
