This is what I get when I go to gift a membership. The drop down boxes let you pick a month and day (within 90 days of buying the gift) so it looks like you can definitely gift it to yourself and start it anytime within those 90 days. I just put one of my emails not associated with my current Ancestry account as the gift recipient (in case that matters.) I have gifted it to myself before and it worked...I just don't recall the details. Don't forget cash back sites. I haven't used them on Ancestry before but a couple of them appear to be giving some cashback.

Here's a video about it. The steps are simple and he used his regular ancestry account so I did the same and it accepted the purchase. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipk-0ptfpaw
