I wouldn't, this is still just 4g. You'd probably want one that will have 5g. In my area though Tmobile 4g is getting 90mbps

Sim cards for mobile phones (voice) won't work. T-Mobile offers data only plans for devices like these. A few MVNOs offer data only - like Tello. And, there is a "hidden" plan for 30GB per month from T-Mobile here: https://slickdeals.net/f/17923848-30gb-t-mobile-internet-byod-hotspot-10-mo-after-autopay
The router will work with any T Mo SIM card and data plan, which includes a regular T Mo voice/text/data SIM card.

Can someone please help me understand how this works?
You insert a T Mo SIM card with data plan into the router and position the router close to a windows. May need to rotate the router for best speed. Connect other devices to this router via WiFi hot spot. I usually see 30-50 Mbps during off peak hours, and 10-15 Mbps peak.

Buy a T Mo unlimited data tablet SIM card to obtain unlimited data WiFi from T Mo.

Wow. This is cool. I didn't know of this.
When you plug in any USB-C to wired ethernet adapter, will it just work automatically? Or is there a setting which you have to apply from the Android settings page?

Android phones can use a USB-C to wired ethernet adapter, and share its WAN connection to a router 😁 acts just like a regular ethernet handoff from an ISP

Have t9, should I upgrade? What is difference?
T10 use USB-C port. I just have to carry an extra micro USB cable for my T9 when traveling.

I believe the Android OS uses wired over wifi as priority by default, but to be sure, you can disable wifi before plugging in the adapter. That's all you have to do.

When I looked into this a few months back, Apple iOS doesn't allow for 4G/5G connection sharing over wired ethernet; only wireless. So Android for the win. :-)

Could this be used with an international tourist sim, for example in Thailand?

90 mbps, Bellingham, WA, good TMO has really good service where I am, I actually leave my phone on 4g only to save battery. If you have TMO phone turn off the 5G band on your phone and test on speedtest.com or fast com
Balut, I don't have tmobile currently, but looking for something for work from home, moving shortly away from fiber back to charter internet, it's not the best. Tmobile Home internet is available, but just looking for something as a backup for work, and that tmobile plan looks great, Map shows 5g Ultra capacity speed, so I think it would work great. Gonna pull the trigger on this and the plan. Thank you!

Check with your local library. Mine has 100 of these which you can check out for 2 weeks and come with unlimited data. I have one here right now.

Wait so connecting android phone via usb-c to wired Ethernet uses regular phone data (not hotspot data)? Plz clarify.

Does connecting wired use data from hotspot bucket or regular bucket?
