The slow promotion of regular posters is frustrating, and limited-time deals often aren't worth posting because of it.
Meanwhile, staff posts are immediately promoted to the popular section.

Didn't used to be that way years ago.

When I browse all threads sorted by creation time, the staff threads look like they get about as much attention as non-staff threads. Some don't get any attention at all. I should know!

I looked at new posts right before I posted that, as just about every staff post had thumbs up almost immediately, and no comments. Could be a coincidence, but sure didn't seem that way.

Could also be certain people work together, but hey….just glad the site has been around as long as it has and continues to grow.

I just hope everyone does the right thing, play fair and be honest. Some of those posts just didn't seem like it

high volume deal posters (so not just staff, but yes a lot of them are staff) tend to have a lot of followers who get notifications for every deal post. people choose to follow someone because they like the sort of deals they post and want these notifications, and as such are likely to get to a thread soon after its posted and "like" it.
