I've been wearing this for years. The earlier versions had more wool count and Kirkland has reduced it but even at that, it's worth every penny. And these are made in USA.

I'm already stocked up but might get one more pair.

I wear these with my red wing boots pretty much all year around.

Wool socks are expensive, i stock up when I can. I am too cheap to pay $25 for a pair of socks. And somehow my wife has a tendency to disappear my socks :| Hopefully this will last me at least 3 years at $2.16 cents a pair. And since they are costco I can return them easily if they don't work out.

Personally, I think the current version is just as good. The earlier versions became loose after a year of wearing and washing (albeit they were so cheap that I never took special care of them), and the current version holds up much better.
Plus, the current version still holds 57% merino. In comparison, all my fancy darn toughs are like 45%.
