Is it for the life of the car or the life of the tires? Here's the fine print: Lifetime balance is only warrantied so long as originally balanced tires remains on wheel. If needed, additional charge may apply for resetting
TIA

I usually just take my car in twice a year for both and that's pretty much the only money I pay them for the life of my car/tires.
I wonder if pressure gauge counts or if I need to buy a service
TIA

While I admit they are likely all a little different. The one time and first time and last time - 12 years ago - I took my car in for an oil change, they attempted to upsell me $1400.00 dollars worth of repairs. Granted my car was old. Granted I am not even close to car knowledgeable. However I had only taken my car there because 'it was just a maintenance oil change' and my 'goto' honest garage mechanic was swamped under work.
Needless to say, I declined the work, but now being concerned drove over to his shop after Firestone was done. When I shared what they suggested, he laughed. That told me all I needed to know. Never used Firestone again. To be clear, I'm sure some Firestone's are very different. But I'm never going to find out and have to deal with 'scare tactics' to get into my wallet again.

I bought my last set of tires there with the road hazard, I had to make an appointment to get my flat repaired, only to come back 3 hours later to see my tire sitting in the same spot. They could never get the leak in one tire fixed. These issues are across multiple locations, I think they are under staffed and over worked, they really need a revamp of their processes.
Worth noting, the lifetime alignment has gone on special many years on New Year's Day. I picked it up many years ago for $99 and got it on two vehicles. Has paid for itself many times over. If going to take advantage of this deal, might be worth using the $50 gift card on New Year's Day special.
Once or twice, they recommended a service I didnt need. At the same time, they've recommended things like "air filter change" but then said "you can just do it yourself".
Any idea how much the lifetime wheel balance actually costs these days. I remember it was around $30 about a decade ago. However, I'm seeing reports of walmart selling for $15/tire now.

I made an online appointment for a car care package [firestonecompleteautocare.com] at my local Firestone. The service took about 45 minutes and cost $9.99 (see link above for coupon). The store manager confirmed that my appointment/service is eligible for the $50 e-gift card. Yay! Note the e-gift card is valid Jan. 2025 - Mar. 2025. I'll be using it for my next oil change.
If there's a better/cheaper way to get this promo, please feel free to share. I think this deal is slick and I'm surprised it's not getting more attention here.
