Not bad. Just keep in mind the upgrade path later on. Just replaced the case and motherboard and cooler. All other components reused including power supply
GPU is better, but everything else is worse about this deal then the 1300$ costco one. I would not trust alienware desktop computers for their build quality. They have a history of bad QC with these. Also the specs are pretty bad, single stick of DDR5 4800? Really? Its pathetic. They dont use reliable AIOS, and their PSU's tend to be suspect.
The deals on the R16 directly from Dell just a few days ago were much better in performance per dollar, i would skip this and wait for the R16 deals to kick off again.
Fwiw my Alienware I bought in late 2020 just had its motherboard die so I built a new rig this week and reused the 3070. Originally my Alienware had air cooling that I upgraded to a Corsair h60 and when I removed the stock cooler the thermal paste application was atrocious with nearly a third or more of the processor uncovered. Beware because the mobo and PSU quality is very poor on these. I never had any super alarming temps after I swapped the cooler.
