Thanks. Did I just miss that on the product page or did you find it elsewhere? Regardless, thanks and Repped! !

Thank you. Starting to look for a grad present for my son. Something he can wear daily for fieldwork (forestry-ish), but still nice. Doesn't have to be a 50-year heirloom but I'd like it to last a decade or so. The main "problem" with this one is that he already has quartz watch that looks similar. I think I'm starting to lean toward a stainless or ti dive-style watch+bracelet with minimal complications. A buddy is telling me the San Martin watches are a great value.

Feel free to holler with any suggestions.
San Martin's are great bang for the buck. Check out Boldr too.

$200 for a Timex... Like... A Timex...
Timex is a storied brand and is currently doing a lot of right. This being one of them. It is titanium and build like a tank. I'd rather spend my bucks on this rather than the Chinese brands, where quality control is non existent.

You're welcome. They didn't have it on the page, so I had to look elsewhere for movement info. If using it for outdoor field work, I would ask what kind of work exactly? Mechanical movements can potentially start having issues if they take too much shock or vibration (shooting, golfing, swinging an axe, etc). A Casio G-Shock is a great idea for an outdoor watch. Specifically a solar one like the Casio G-Shock GW6900.

I bought this watch a few months ago and would recommend it. Yes it's a timex but if you can look past the brand you get a lot of watch here at some specs you usually don't see together at this price. Automatic sapphire crystal titanium watch with 200 meters of water resistance from a well respected company is a rare combination at this price point unless you start going to Ali express watches. I figured I would replace the band because of some complaints I read before purchase but I ended up liking it a lot after it broke in.

Perfect timing, pun intended. I just bought this watch last week on Amazon for ~$300. I've been swapping back and forth with my Garmin Enduro 3 and this and I'm really liking it. Just ordered using this deal and assuming everything looks exactly the same, I'll return the new one to Amazon. Even though I can return the used one to Amazon, I hate doing that.

I'm in the same boat for my son. He wears an Apple Watch usually but mentioned needing something for more dressier professional occasions, which are very imminent! I was leaning towards an eco drive but some watch guys have convinced me to at least consider an automatic. I just bought my first automatic this year. Have always used quartz with battery. Auto is nice change and avoids the dead battery issue on watches that sit for awhile. So many options out there once you go looking. If you use Facebook look at the group Affordable Mechanical Watches for lots of opinions.
Eco drive for someone who won't wear the watch often is better then automatic

Anyone have any scoop on the movement? Is it Timex made? Japanese? Swiss? Random Chinese generic? Looking for something that will have repairability down the road.
It's a Japanese Miyota movement. I have both variants of this watch and I can't take it off. Best every day watch I've owned.
