It's a good deal. If you become a movie club member, concessions would be 40% off.
This is awesome. Combined with their $5 movies on Tuesdays and you have a pretty slick deal.
Their movie club is a pretty good deal anyway. You get one ticket a month for the fee. Even if you don't go that often, the tickets accumulate. You are in essence prebuying tickets at a discount. Regular ticket prices are in the $14 range. You don't have to use the pre- bought tickets. When I go on Tuesday for $6, I just pay. I use my pre bought tickets on other days. Also,You can use your accumulated tickets for other people.

There used to be a great running Groupon for the movie club membership that worked out to about $6/ticket for basically any screening. This is the best deal I've seen since. If I limit use to discount Tuesdays ($6 where I am) and get tickets at the theater (avoid online booking fees), the $50 credit can be stretched to 8 tickets. This would work out to an actual cost of approx $4.38/ticket.

Does Costco enforce the gift card limit? I definitely don't get 10 gift cards at once but I've definitely gotten several over the years.

and if you're like me and the movie credits accumulate unused, they allow you to redeem a movie credit to pay for concessions: last time i went, I received 20% off concessions, then $12 for the movie credit = free snacks!

I didn't know they did this. How does that work?

Where do you see 20% off annual membership? Mine shows $131
You can buy the "Gift Movie club" for 12 months here- https://www.cinemark.com/giftmovieclub
Note- Remember to cancel your existing movie club membership and let it expire before you redeem it otherwise you'll end up getting a lump sum of 12 credits instead.

you just go through the concessions line like you normally do, then give the cashier your membership code and tell them you want to redeem a movie credit toward your purchase. the credit amount in my case was $11.99 - I don't know if the amount varies depending on where you live. I'm in SoCal.

Right now Cinemark also has their Movie Club annual membership for 20% off. If you stack with this you get 12 months for $75.50, which is 12 2D tickets and 20% off concessions/waived online fees for a year

Edit - I'm actually not sure this can be purchased with a gift card unfortunately, at least for the monthly one it looks like it's credit card only
Where are you seeing the option to buy it with gift cards? Am I missing something?

Just a heads up that this deal is also active in store for physical gift cards.

This is the rare case where I prefer the physical gift cards because the egift cards don't include a bar code and you have to punch in a super long number every time you use them. Swiping a physical gift card is much easier.

I also buy tickets at the theater to avoid the fees and love the $5 Tuesdays.

Can't add the gift card to account.. Says it can't find the gift card. Anyone has the same problem? The number I am using is the barcode I got which came with Costco order confirmation
