This is the only high end Jackery unit that still uses regular lithium ion batteries and not the newer, longer-lifespan LiFePO4/LFP cells. It's peculiar why they don't make a 3000 in LFP. Decent deal with the solar too but I ended up going with the Jackery 2000v2+2x200w solar deal for $1499 and then getting a 1000v2 for $349 the other day while it was on sale. 3000 watt hours, over 3700 watts of total inverter capacity, and 400w of solar for basically the same price as this 3000 Pro except it uses LFP cells and I can keep them in separate locations to power different items. No external expandability with the v2s, but if you're after that I'd be going with a Plus or a different brand altogether if you're looking for a permanent expanded home setup.

Thanks for the insight. I don't know jack about solar, but I'll wait for the Age of Elon, he'll have all of us on solar shortly.

Age of Elon? Ummm, you do realize who Elon will be working for right? The guy that said wind and solar are a waste and we should just "drill baby drill". Funny how his supporters completely ignore reality.
