Do some research before you jump. The quality on these isn't what you would have expected from the BOSE of the 1990's. My two kids went through 3 of them in less than a year. One was a charging issue, on wouldn't turn on, and the last started to melt at the charing port. Maybe we has some really bad luck, but I would be weary.

No it doesn't. Soft case. You're welcome to try to buy one and see for yourself.

I tried these on. They are lightweight and don't put pressure on your ears. The top band also doesn't apply much pressure.

They do feel cheap even when compared to my Sony xm3 that shorted out.

For the price can't go wrong. I also tried the beats pro over the ear and those are very tight on my ears and head. The beats also feel like cheap hard plastic.

The display allowed me to sync my phone to it via bluetooth. The ANC wasn't has good as my xm3 IMO. Also the bass sounded flat.

Had mine for more than 10 years and is still working real well. It is still one of the best out there. Beautiful sound and noise canceling works real well. A must when I fly.

Yep, Bose has had poor build quality for years. I believe it's by design because it happens right around the time warranty it is. Of course, this is with regular use, not someone who only wears them to travel.

You can always count on the ear pads to go first.

Imo the XM3 has great ANC (owned 2 and heavily use it) but is a bit warmer when i use it, so I prefer the lighter Bose. Shame that the later Sonys simply do not stack up at all. The XM5 is just the latest in a trend of declining Sony ANC performance since the XM3 excellence

For what's available new today, the Bose is the best in terms of ANC, to me at least. Ultra headphones are a bit better but have more clamping force
