Type 1 is older stock they're clearing out. I believe the manual says it needs to be stopped after running it continuously for 10 minutes.

So I'd think by now most Type 1's are out of inventory, and if you just don't worry, you'll get a Type 2.

really just did the price match online chat for kicks. was fully expecting to get denied... but they approved it without any push.
they did ask for zip code and gave it. closest bomgaars is 320 miles.
update: lowes shipped it to me and I opened it up and it was a type 1. what was odd is that per one of the images i saw on reddit i got the box design that according to the post "always had a type 2 inside during unboxing videos" (there are 2 different box designs https://imgur.com/a/1ACcTCH)
so went to local lowes, asked if i could open one of theirs to see if it was different. was the same box design i received shipped. they agreed to let me open it, and immediately saw a difference in the quality/material of the plastic wrap surrounding the unit itself. additionally the unit fit very snuggly in the box, vs the type 1 that was actually kind of loose in the box. and sure enough, it was a type 2.
my theory is someone went fishing for a type 2, found it and returned the box with a different type unit in the box for the one i got shipped.
but anyways, after finding the right type, asked if they would price match and they were happy to. very easy.
TLDR: go to local lowes to verify before going through the hassle of ordering online then getting the wrong type.
lowes.com price matched via online chat, even tho I am in Chicago area and 5 hr drive from nearest Bomgars. Total came to $86.39 incl tax with free ship
