Don't be a dummy like me and use this in the microwave with the lid on. The plastic is not very heat tolerant and reduces the life of the lids substantially, not to speak of any potential health risks the plastic may have with your food.
Invest in a silicone mat for the microwave to prevent messes.

Lids definitely are not microwaveable (I ruined 2 this way). General rule of thumb is that unvented plastic lids should not go in the microwave.
They say the lids are microwaveable, but I agree they don't do well in there. But I've had success turning the lid upside-down on top of the container, leaving about 5% open for ventilation.
the lids aren't microwaveable then?? at least wish the lids were vented for reheats.
I think if you put the lid on tight it does not let the steam escape and creates a sort of vacuum and generates to much heat on the lid , if you leave the lid loose , just sitting on top you should be fine
With that said, the warehouse clubs usually have deals on this stuff , wonder how they compare
For example, Sams has a 28 piece that is this price all the time and a Members Mark version that is 24 piece that is $25
Actually Costco has one Pyrex Snapware 18 piece that is is jacked online @ $30.99 but showing as $19.99 in warehouse. 18 (9 + 9 lids) is enough for me. I will get that. https://www.costco.com/snapware-p...58145.html

Just surprised you suggested a silicone mat instead of a microwave dome! (yes, still plastic of course)
I have multiple sets of these, and the 7-cup ones are ALWAYS used up in frozen storage :'( They are the first to 'disappear' haha
I was tempted by this earlier but the youtube review showed the lids weren't that durable. The youtuber failed to mention if he microwaved them or not.
My Snapware Pyrex set from Costco has also had issues with the clasps. The material is very thin as it's supposed to be flexible. Anything from not being air tight, to not clasping and finally tearing. The glassware is excellent. The lids have been washed in the dish washer, never heated them and the set is probably 4 years old.
I'm really tempted by the Rubbermaid Brilliance ones with two beefy clasps on two sides.

Damn, I was set on getting the Snapware from Costco but now you have me rethinking

I bought two sets of multiple sizes for meal prep, but haven't used them every day. Definitely more than a quarter but not more than half of my lids are junky. Maybe the sealing part is hardened as well. Four years seems like a decent run with the ones holding on. Oh, and the way they are designed is hard to clean where the seal is on the lid. It makes a crevice. So if your food gets in there you need to brush it.
