Previous deal for the S01-pF2043wb variant the other day @$140 appears to be the exact same specs and chassis. Likely a different SKU used for a different distributor, retailer, etc. They share driver versions in the support page and appears to include the same wireless keyboard and mouse combo as well. This variant does not have an optical drive in its specs, so the bezel is likely a blank slot. There should be a free hanging power cable for an additional 3.5 HDD but you will need a sata cable. There are two DIMM memory slots, with one being occupied by a stick of 8GB DDR4 2933Mhz.

Support page with specs
https://support.hp.com/us-en/prod...u=7Z6X4AAR

I'm likely going to turn one into a Plex media server since the i3-12100 has QuickSync. Maybe another for a light gaming setup for kids/siblings with a gpu upgrade and added memory. This appears to take a single-slot, low profile gpu which limits your options in addition to the 180W PSU. Some options, if buying new, include NVIDIA GTX 1650, AMD RX 6400, and maybe Intel Arc A380(likely no ReBar support from an OEM BIOS). XFX and Sapphire have low profile RX 6400 models that should fit. PCIe 4.0 is likely with the OEM mobo, due to being compatible with the H670 chipset, but could be PCIe 3.0 and would limit performance. I will update this comment with what I find when I receive my unit.

Edit: Came with SK Hynix 1x8GB single rank 3200mhz ram. 512GB SSD is Kioxa KBG50ZNV512G. There are two free hanging sata data and power cables. No optical drive, no SD card reader. Mouse keyboard was included. Booted to Windows desktop and idle was around 10-20w. Has space for both a 3.5 and 2.5 drive. 4 usb front, 4 back. Ports for Ethernet, VGA, HDMI, audio out, audio in. Mobo has free SATA port blank.
Couple of clues. Check the review's under this listing, some mention being surprised this including a keyboard which was not in the listing. The previous slickdeal post I linked also has people commenting it in the thread as well. Then there is also the HP support site for that variant, which lists the keyboard and mouse model (HP 510SP Black Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo). Looks to be your basic $5-10 office set if you need one. Wasn't able to find the support doc for this variant to confirm sadly.
CAUTION: I've bought from
Them a lot but man they're terrible at managing their quality of inventory. I won't buy any electronics from in the future. Poor customer service too.

Just received the tower. came with wireless mouse and keyboard. Looks clean and in good condition. There is a strange black rectangle on the top of the port panel. I imagine that's for WIFI?
Yep, there's one hidden behind the front bezel as well more than likely. The black plastic is a cover for the rear antenna.

I just received mine.
  • It came with a mouse and keyboard.
  • It has a 512G NVME. Kioxia BG5 KBG50ZNV512G (PCIe4 x4)
  • There are 3 SATA ports on the motherboard. Two have 6" cables on them (with nothing on the other end).
  • The case is built is built for 1 3.5" HDD, 1 2.5", and 1 slim CD/DVD. No DVD drive came with the unit. I think you could mount a second 2.5" where the DVD would go. I don't see a way to add another 3.5".
  • It has Wifi (and and ethernet port).
  • It has VGA and HDMI
  • 4 USB on the front and another 4 on the back. They look like USB 2.0, or at least there isn't a different color to indicate that some of them are different. All are USB A (no USB C).
  • Other than being packed in bubble wrap in a generic box (not HP branded), it looks new.
  • 2 DIMM sockets, 1 populated with 8 GB stick (Samsung)
  • 2 PCIe: 1 x16, 1 x4; low-profile/half height only cards

Checking the serial number of the HP website, the warranty started on July 6, 2023. If it was brand new then, that means these machines are 1 year 4 months old. The 1 year warranty from HP has expired, not that I was expecting a warranty from them on this deal.

Can you please provide details on the DIMM and available DIMM slots? Would it handle 32Gb RAM?

There are 2 DIMM sockets; one is populated with an 8GB DIMM. I cannot find an official statement on the max memory, but I don't see why it would not take 2x16GB DIMMs.

There are 2 PCI-e slots. One is x16 and the other is x1. The cards would have to be low profile due to the case.

Are you able to check if the mobo reports Resizable Bar being supported? Would help those wanting to install an Intel Arc card

I don't see any options in the BIOS for this. Techpowerup GPU-Z says that Resizeable BAR is disabled.

I don't have an Intel Arc card to try in the PC.

To enter the BIOS, press ESC during boot. The BIOS is a HP branded version of the AMI BIOS. The settings are rather limited; certainly not what I am used to with MBs used on custom built machines.

Took me a little while to figure out the mouse/keyboard combo. The receiver is inside the mouse, need to take the top cover (has the left/right plastic 'button') off to see the batter slot and the receiver.

Mouse takes 1 AA while the keyboard needs 2 AAA.

It's a surprise to get the combo, worths another 15-20 bucks.
