I'll give it a shot! Though when I bought this same item at this price a few days back (Nov 24) , they canceled my order with the following message.

Everything is good except Processor being an i3 for me?
How good or bad is i3 compared ti i5?

What type of ram it takes if I were to upgrade?

Does anyone know if typically these include the SATA and power cables needed for HDDs? Since this includes a M.2 SSD pre installed, my feeling is no, unless the connectors are just handing off the mobo + psu.

The 8GB occupies 1/2 dimm slots so an upgrade should be simple as adding another stick of 8GB ram. Though I imagine you can install 2x16 etc. if you need it.

The windows license key should be tied to the motherboard, so it should survive a full reformat of the drive right?

other than what's needed to run everything at stock, you likely won't find extra data cable. there might be 1-2 power plugs of you're lucky

I don't see why not. I'm running Plex on an old Dell Optiplex with a 6th gen i7 8gb RAM and it works just fine. I am able to stream at home and away. I'm not trying to transcode multiple 4K streams though.

The SSD is small, but assuming you have an external HDD, and your needs aren't too specialized or demanding, this unit should suit your needs.

Basically the computer specs is good for browsing, watching videos at meh quality, and light gaming. Typically good for people who either just need it for simple school stuff or don't utilize a computer too much.

Yes on safer side you can also dump existing key by booting into win and issuing some commands

12100 is good cpu especially for the price. It goes for $110. In fact it has been considered excellent value as gaming cpu. Even though an i3 it's a quad core cpu with multi threading.

why would it have trouble playing video? My 15-year-old desktop plays 1080p video just fine.
