You can just make a Nintendo account and buy it now. Login to the same account when you get your switch

Use https://accounts.nintendo.com/ to create your account.

I don't own a Switch and I was able to create my account without any issues. I plan on getting the next generation Nintendo console, so having my account now should be handy.
