This is the smaller, elite, version. Not the original. This one has a $599 MSRP. Not a bad savings if you want to show the world that you can afford to drop this kind of coin on re-living your childhood.

That original one has 27 servos for movement not counting computer parts and programming. so even if you take some of the cheapest amazon servos at like 15 a piece that's over $400 just for those parts.

Not worth it for someone not into Transformers or higher end toys but definitely not a cheap piece of junk either. I have one of the older ones and it's very cool.

This company also makes a Buzz Lightyear that you can move and have talk (its face and mouth even move properly IIRC), it looks pretty badass (but it is also 599), I would never drop that money on what would end up being a shelf decoration, but still it is pretty neat

I have the original and the trailer. These are extremely expensive, but the tech inside is amazing. Its a cool party trick but not much to offer beyond that.
