Not gonna get a whole lot of leverage from that "pry bar" but I guess for the odd thing it could be handy.

Right, it's better than trying to use your finger nail or house key as a pry tool.

Looks practical if you open a lot of heavy duty cardboard boxes with packing staples. Non-standard blade type kills it for me

I've had one for a while and absolutely love it. It's not an EDC accessory for me, but rather an exacto with no annoying cap that I always know where it is in my woodworking shop.

I think this one is better since I don't like the lanyard. Only down side is there's no clip. I like the larger blade as well since it's double side

Every other time I fly I forget that I have my multitool in my bag and I lose it. I bet half of the multitool profits come from TSA. They probably have a back-channel to resell the confiscated ones.

I was wondering if something like this would work for flying. Just throw away the removable blades but keep the tool? Does that work for box cutters? I carried a Leatherman every friggin day of my life until Sept 11. They took so many from me I stopped carrying them because I would never remember to leave them at home when I went to the airport. Seems like if you had a nice multi tool with no prohibited tools, but a blade holder, it might work? Like this maybe? Of course the random TSA per
son might insist on taking it anyway no matter what the actual rules are

#11 type blade is about as standard as it gets. Hundreds of options from cheap to expensive on Amazon alone.
