Probably a a lot of people finding out they don't have a neutral in their switch box.

I use these instead:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005WM3ALC

They have a lot of "smarts" built in with a lot of programmable features without needing to be on your WiFi. Work great in our laundry and powder room, and are sale priced today.

Actually there is. I just figured it out recently. Go into the Kasa app, open up the control for the switch. Go to "Smart Control" option, then ensure the toggle is turned on at the top, then go to "Edit Rule" at bottom. Once in "Edit Rule", go to bottom of screen and there's a "How to Turn on the Light" and "How to Turn off the Light" setting. Go to the latter, and select "No motion detected" which then allow you to select 15s, 30s, or 1-30 min. Now the switch will turn off if no motion is detected for X time.

FYI the dimmer version is $20 after an $8 off "coupon", and also has 25% CB for Prime Visa cardholders. I suspect the CB is based on the $20 "after coupon" price, but that's an additional $5 off, so an effective $15 price (add state sales tax if applicable) with the extra flexibility of the dimming function, which makes it much more versatile for things like bathroom applications so as not to get blasted with light when using the john overnight. I may have just talked myself in to one of these

I've got this in my garage and works well. I touched the app once to set the delay timers but other than that, works as expected. No real complaints since all of my smart outlets are Kasa as well. Nice to have it all in the same spot.

Yep - highly likely.

I might bite on the 2pk @ $30. I've got a couple 'dumb' motion switches that have been nice to have, but would like a couple more, and these can also be made to run on a schedule in addition to motion activation.

If you have a small room like a closet or laundry room that has a light switch that you always turn on when you enter, then this will help you skip a step of manually turning the light on/off.
The smartness is if you want to control remotely with phone or voice.

I have this in my laundry room and works well when I enter. But if I stay in there too long the light starts turning off on me because the sensor fov is pretty narrow. I will eventually go back to having a separate motion sensor

Multi-mode functionality with a lot of control and configuration that can be done. Want motion-on @ night at dim levels along with the ability to tap a momentary-on switch to have the light come on full brightness for X number of minutes for something like a bathroom or utility/laundry room? These should be able to do it (well, the slightly more expensive dimmable 2pk).

Thanks for this link. Going to try it in our walk-in-closet. Could be really useful to have it be at 5% late at night, but 100% at other times of day.

My only issue with such sensors is that if you stay little longer than light turn off on you as sensors FOV is narrow. Is there a way to set the turn on feature little longer (customizable) in these sensors via app? A
