Most of these deals are in line with buying directly from the manufacturer on their current sales, but the older models are STEALS if they are available in your size. CatConnect, Vandal, Cat 7/8.

Always been curious about 26/13 Easton Speed for my son but didn't want to pay $200. Might bite at $80!

What's a good rule of thumb for sizes? Looking for spring ball, I'm don't want to buy and be too small

There are plenty of charts that should help you. You can't just assume the same size bat for all kids of a specific age.

As mentioned, there are charts and each child could vary. For what you've noted and it being for spring ball, I would personally be think 29-30" and a "drop" of around -8. This combo would put the bats at 29" 21oz or 30" and 22 oz. Hope that helps..

One for my son, and one for me to hold in the stands in case the other Baseball Dads get a little too intense.

Thanks OP, Got several bats for my kids who love ball. Some of the older bats are cheaper than can be had used on the marketplace.

Any recommendations on a specific bat for my 5 year old, he's starting single A in the spring. 24-26 inches recommended for his age.

For an 85lb 10 year old? Unless he has exceptional upper body strength and an insane core, his bat speed will be trash with 21oz-22oz. At age 9-10, they start to face real pitching and will see 50mph regularly. They need to have reasonable bat speed. Its not like coach pitch. Typically8-12 year olds will use drop -10/-9 and I would stick to 27in-28in. So 16oz-18oz.

More accurately it has to do with strength and core rather than age. I had plenty of big 100+lb 9 year olds who hit like ninnies because they had poor cores and couldnt turn their hips for power no matter how much you drilled them. I have also had 75lb 9-10 year olds who can easily handle a 28in -8 drop but I think ive seen maybe 2 of those in the last 3 years? One was on my team a couple of years ago and I think our league had one other little guy who was also amazing this year. Those are the guys who had dads that live and breathe baseball. They are not average kids.
