I never said I didn't receive the code. My point is they kept increasing the discount. First it was $26, then on BF it was $23, now it's $21. Normally, stores don't put an item on a lower sale so soon after their previous one because that tends to upset customers.

I didn't activate yet because my subscription isn't expiring for a few more months. I could've waited 4 more days to get a lower price. But it's only $2 so not a big deal.

It was a different version ($26). Black Friday, it was $21.99, but went OOS by Cyber Monday. The $26 package is still available last I checked yesterday.

26 was internet security or something and included some silly bundled nonsense with it.

I was mistaken. Thanks for setting the record straight. I added an edit to my comment. I didn't realize the $26 was a different product and I paid $23.45 total after tax so that confused me.

how does this compare to ProtonVPN (the paid one) , this will be my first vpn

• the plan for me earlier, was to do a 1 month sign up to Proton for $10 to just learn it and decide if I want or need it. But if the benefits are right someone can convince me to jump on this deal. What I am gesturing at is I do not know what I do not know, and would appreciate feedback Smilie

Get Windscribed VPN, I have been able to use it with any firewall. Able to access any site in a corporate environment.

As far as I can tell, Basic and Standard are the same plan and lowest pier of features (VPN, threat protection for 10 devices).
Actually, there's a "compare plans" option on the Newegg page -- Standard is Basic plus security/privacy features, which I think means malware protection, dark web monitoring... my plan is Standard, but I may downgrade to Basic
