Actually almost all the reviews suggesting that the display goes way over that, nearly 380-nits at max brightness.

Read "Pressure from Intel". This is a very well known phenomenon that Intel forces actual device manufacturers to promote their products by hooks and crooks and that comes in many forms, like not releasing opponent's products in the busy seasons, restricting higher end configurations (GPU, display) for "Intel Only" models, having poor port selections in opponents' device and even having poor colors to their opponents' devices. Recently hardware unboxed and Moore's law is dead, have done a podcast confirming those.

I have known this for many years and even talked to some reps from Asus, MSI and Acer.

Just take this example here:, The AMD and Qualcomm Omnibooks are limited to this 2.2K 60Hz IPS panel whereas the Intel version, which is a 360 degree Flip laptop, having 2.8K 120Hz OLED for even the base model. Why?

They have Pavilions equipped with 2.8k 120hz OLED displays yet they put a low quality ips panel on this higher end OmniBook why? Poor colors, high response times, only 60hz, poor contrast, low brightness. This display is a complete dealbreaker.

The amount of baffling decisions by these oems to keep the price down is crazy. Just give us the damn options to a la carte the whole thing!

It's tempting with $50 off from Chase. The display is such a let down and the thick bezels look bad.

Probably why it's on sale. Also for businesses.

That's probably a mistake. If you see the old Youtube reviews, they mentioned a screen of 400 but measuring only 370. I guess they downgraded the specs since then, so that the brightness appears more than the spec

Still available for $900 with the HX 365 CPU and 1TB SSD.
How much difference does the 375 vs. the 365 make in real world use in a thin and light chassis? Isn't this thing thermal throttled anyway? I'm not saying it is. This is a genuine question, trying to imply nothing.
