How does this differ from the less expensive KS200M [amazon.com]?

The switch in this deal is a dimmer - more versatile for use in bathrooms in sleeping areas - can be programmed to turn onto say 20% overnight rather than burn out sleepy eyed retinas at 100% when stumbling to the john.

I will point out that except for the additional 20% CB from the Prime Visa, this appears to be a bogus sale, as, according to the 3 Wise Camels, the price has dropped below $20 many times in the past year. Bought one anyway since I just learned this exists and now I want to install one.

Agree it's not really a deal without the CB, the $8 off coupon is the usual Amazon shenanigans to make a price it always seems to sell at seem like a deal. I put the CB details in the title but you are correct, it's regular price otherwise.

One more response, then I'll leave this thread alone for the time being. If you need two and don't have a Prime Visa, then it's cheaper to buy a 2-pack. May even be cheaper if you do have a prime visa as it's unclear if you can use the coupon more than once.

I went with the home depot one for $8. Worked pretty good so far. I have Kasa and not very impressed

Not OP but I saw Home Depot sell their Commercial Electric (I assume private label) smart switch dimmer with motion sensor for $8-9 in-store. I was surprised by the price but scared off by the poor reviews when I scanned the bar code with the app and it revealed too many complaints. Oddly not searchable on the website but your local warehouse could carry it because it said it was exclusively sold in store. $8-9 is a tough gamble for me considering the time it takes to setup and potentially re-install, although it could just turn into a dumb switch with motion detection instead.

Fair enough. I've had mixed results with HD's Commercial Electric brand. Plus I've already got a bunch of other Kasa switches in the apartment that have been mostly reliable (I think I've had one failure, but overall most people seem to like them), and you're right, my time is worth a lot more than the potential $8 saved (plus having to go to HD, which I rarely do these days).
