Honestly tempted even though I already have a spade just for the name. Smilie

Anyways, I use a spade for almost all my digging.

I've seen my sprinkler guys using this type of shovel to dig out sprinklers. I am tempting to get one b/c I do have one that I need to fix. Darn xfinity guy broke it.

If by dig "out" you mean; trenching in preparation for installing. Not sure how good it would be for removing sprinkler pipe.
