Promo code MSBLNOV15 for 15% off. This glove lists for $199. on sale for 79.99 - 15% off = $67.99. I've been eyeing this glove for my smaller 10 yo entering 12u majors this year.

Thank you for posting. Would you by any chance know how this compares to the Rawlings R9 for a 8-11 year old? Got a few boys and currently have the R9 and Encore and will need a 3rd "real glove" for next summer. I'm in no rush, but I would buy one now if I see a good enough deal.

Would a Little League pitcher be able to use this because of the color?

$190 on Amazon just as a comparison. If you were eyeing this glove, it seems like a no-brainer. Nice find op

I can vouch that these are really nice gloves, but be aware that it's 11.25 which is pretty small and not to versatile IMO. If not in a rush wait for the Wilson sales and get a A2000

I'd say this glove is a bit nicer than those two Rawlings models. But 11.25 is a bit small - useful for middle infield only, really.

If I were in the market for a glove for our kids, I'd get a Wilson A1000. There are a few on sale at Dicks at the moment -

11.25 is on the smaller side but a good glove for a shortstop or second baseman. It can also be great for infield practice. The smaller size can help build better technique with ground fielding.

Thanks OP. Had new baseball glove on my son's list. I just bought him the Marucci CATX 2 bat, so this will pair nicely.

I got the a1000 11.75" from dicks sporting goods for $99+tax

they also had the 11.50" for the same price.

amazon has it for $129 right now

I would totally get the a1000 over this. I know this is cheaper, but the a1000 is like the youth baseball glove god. Yea there's better gloves like the HoH/A2000/etc but those are not youth break in friendly... especially for the price you can't go wrong with the a1000.

I would not get this for an 8 year old unless you are adept at the breaking in gloves. It will be stiff and difficult to break in unless you pay someone to do it. R9 is good, they just released nxt gloves as a intermediate between r9 and hoh. For an 11 year old it's probably too small if they play everywhere.

Solid deal for an INF glove. The 11.25" size for this age range is great for INF as it balances size/weight with usability, but this is also depending on the kid's size and skill level. It is intended for an adult size hand, so if your kid has smaller hands, it will be hard to squeeze/close regardless of how broken in the glove gets. You can adjust the hand stall opening to aid in keeping it snug around the wrist, but there isn't much you can do about the finger stalls. For reference, I have an 11 year old who has no issues with an adult size glove.

This glove is from 2023, so if available elsewhere, there's a good chance it's also listed under MSRP. A quick search shows other gloves in this series can be found between $110 and $150.

Yes, it will require some break in, but not to the degree of upper tier gloves from Wilson (A2000, A2K) or Rawlings (HoH, PP). I would also say that this is probably best suited for someone who has at least played a few seasons and has no problem playing catch, as it does not have a deep pocket and is intended for easier transfers. Also be aware that glove models in the same product family will fit differently, so just trying out any other Marucci glove likely will not carry over in fit with this one.

Other options: Like previously mentioned, the R9 series from Rawlings is tough to beat for quality, ease of break in, price, and options. Wilson A1000 is in that same realm.

By the time you break this glove in your kid won't even be in little league any more.
