Gaming Perspective: Even at this price, I don't think it's a good monitor. It makes more sense to pay a bit more for something with true HDR. With that said 4k at 144hz is sweet, but as someone who games exclusively on 4k and has multiple 4k 144hz+ monitors/TVs, I wouldn't get this monitor.

How are the built in speakers on this thing ? Something decent and serviceable or absolute trash that you'll def want a dedicated pair to go with this ?

Also I know its a "great" deal at 300, but feel like with the most recent BF deals even a top tier QD-OLED monitor like the Alienware AW3225QF was available for ~500 when factoring all the stackable discounts. So for 200 more you can get latest and greatest monitor tech, whereas this is still stuck in yesteryear tech, ie IPS LCD with no local dimming. Does anyone else feel similar ?

Actually sound pretty decent, but I wouldn't expect anything amazing out of them, but I've been using them about 50% volume watching a movie right now. Also, I don't know if anyone else noticed this but everything on this monitor looks amazing like I was playing tears of the kingdom on my Nintendo switch on here and it looks better than The game plays on any other TV. Is there a reason it looks that good or is it just this monitor? Is that good? It makes lower graphics/frame rate look amazing just a perspective. I wanted to give out there if anyone else has noticed that with this monitor Maybe it's a Samsung thing or something.

I do professional videography work that involves coloring. I have the 32 inch version of this and its pretty color accurate. If you have a samsung phone, you can actually calibrate the colors with the phone as well (Although i have not used this feature, i dont think its needed). Its just a little bit on the saturated side. But pretty easy to edit colors in this. But since gaming is secondary, i think its better if he gets a "proart" series type monitor with low delta values. 60hz is good enough for gaming if its "secondary." And refresh rate would not really matter to photo editing. I needed high refresh rate because i normally edit 120 frame type videos. That does not apply to photos.
How do you calibrate the colors with a samsung phone?

EDIT: SmartThings app. thank you

I have the one from bestbuy. This 700 can only do 300 nits compared to 702 which bestbuy has in stock 400 nits.
Would that be a huge difference for indoor use or not really?

Not really. I have another samsung monitor with 300 nits and still fine for me. It's just a matter of personal opinion. If you don't like it, just return it.

No, because this has local dimming.
