Yeah but as long as you do a bios update and/or do a small undervolt, you should be good. Intel also extended the warranty on those chips to 5 years instead of 3.

I own this, you'll find a lot of reviews that talk about the jet engine noise, and that's true when overclocked or set at max. I have mine on auto and have run into no games that causes it to takeoff. I do sim racing in 4k, play a lot of beamng with maxed out settings, ams2 and assetto and this thing is a champ.

Also note it comes with a 360mm aio vs the older one that came with 240mm.

I added a 2nd m.2 drive which is in a super easy to install location, was annoyed it didn't come with the hold down screw.

Yes its so messed up they don't give you the screw

Sure, if you use the lowest possible quality components like a pre-built does.

You're never going to match brand new pricing on a custom parts build to refurb pre-built. It's silly to even try.

I got a 14th gen with 4080 super new for $1550 after cb. Straight from HP with credit card rewards, and msft cb over BF. It only came with a 1 TB SSD and 16 GB of RAM though.

The deal is no longer available now, but it was pretty incredible.

I thought you were going excessively low selecting 4800 MHz ram until I found the specs for the build and it's 4400 MHz. For a desktop with a rtx 4080 I thought 6000 MHz would be the starting point.

NO WAY over priced dated tech ; only the gullible would piss away there money on a 13th 14th gen processor knowing the blue screen of death over heating even with countless bios updates robs you of power on a refurbished rig knowing dang well CES 2025 is upon us with the 5000 series cards being released .. Nothing new this terrible holiday season with many residing with limited incomes with fake sells ever since the woke joke clown show tanked our economy & logistics nationwide leaving ships backed up at every port for miles (as seen as 60Minutes cited source), while making you over pay on dated junk they had in wait- This is why stores pulled 8K TVs from the stores in late 2021 forcing you to only see an 8k tv online while needing to sell off so much backed up tech the left had sitting at docks ! Don't do it folks- Don't get suckered on 3 yr old cars with dealers wanting 80k+ or a gaming RIG at $2k that is refurb dated 13th gen junk, a 4k dated trex tv the list goes on and on- they want to up-sell you the dated old connex container JUNK at hyper inflated costs. Wait until the 2nd qtr of CY 2025, you are about to see a very serious drop in prices. So silly to even claim this build set up is 50% off - Stop buying junk at high cost; Its time to make Slick Deals GREAT AGAIN... USA USA USA!

MSI VENTUS 3X OC GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER $1030 at best buy. There were some 4080 Super's on sale BF week for $949. I got the ASUS GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER TUF Gaming OC for $1099 BF week. You can't really compete with prebuilt, but there are some deals out there if you are willing to buy parts over time and wait for sales.

Likely bottleneck. I think ram speeds not listed to hide this. At least it's cheap enough to by ram to replace this. Maybe flip the old ram on market place for a few bucks
