If you look at the comments you will see people who can't stand in-ear headphones. This is a good compromise. Yes, it will not be as good as a sealed headphone but I tested it in an Apple Store and was surprised how well it worked.
The only in ear buds that have worked for me so far are Airpods 1 and 2. I tried Airpods 3 and found them to be uncomfortable. Also tried Airpods Pro 1st Gen and those were not comfortable as expected as I can't stand bids with tips that are jammed into your ears.
Based on your experience, looks like I should just stick to my Airpods 2s. Have collected a bunch of those for super cheap from deals on SD, most recently for just $50 and change from Meijer.
Was tempted to try the Airpods 4 due to ANC, but don't need to spend $150 when I am perfectly happy with my Airpods 2s.
I have this and works well for me. It is not 100% NC but does block most of the external sound. I like the fact that if I turn the music off, I can still hear people talk to me without having to remove the airpods while at the gym.
Got the non ANC from staples when they were on sale. I prefer the AirPod 3s over these. Although I will say the sound and bass quality seems to be better on the 4. One thing I have t heard many people mention is how hard they are to get out of the case vs previous generations.
I don't know what apple was thinking. Why change a good design.
It's all dependent on your preference and ear shape. I personally love the AirPods 3. Shorter stem, a virtual button to push vs tapping on the headphone. What I don't understand is why they didn't put volume control on the stem like the pros vs ANC on the 4s.

This or keep the Airpod Pro 2 that I got for $159? I guess are they "as good" enough that it's worth the $20 savings?
100% keep the pros especially if in-ear doesn't bother you. They are superior in every way. ANC is better, volume control on the stem, all the newest software update functions go to the Pro.
AirPods Pro - perfect for train travel while commuting to office or any other situation where noise levels are high.
AirPods 4 - perfect for long use at home when either working from home or just enjoying music in general.
Needless to say, AirPods pro has much better ANC but I found AirPods 4 ANC to be good as well for lower noise levels.
Best Buy chat price matched for me. They didn't want to price match Sam's but they did match Amazon. Purchasing from Best Buy makes sense for me since I have the Total membership (or whatever they call it now), so 24 months of AppleCare+ is included.
Can someone please help me? I want to get these with the hearing aid option that is built in. I know the airpods 2 have it but I am very confused if 2nd generation is the same as airpods 2, or if 4 is the same thing.
Is it just a software upgrade you do? Should i Just buy the airpods 2nd generation or do i need the airpod 2?
Please help
