According to Rtings.com they state that the 7's advantage is being able to support a wired connection while the 5's have a better battery life and better mic. I already have wired headphones so I am sticking with my 5's

This comes with a dongle to connect wirelessly to a PC. Does the same dongle also work with an AVR if I wanted to watch/play on my TV with headphones on?

Thanks for your insight! I noticed that the 7P has mixed reviews on Amazon, like people disagree on both sond and build quality.

Geez, I expected the differences to be pretty negligible, but it's wild all the areas the 5 is better than the 7. Even line of sight wireless range for both Bluetooth and Dongle is, as tested, quite a bit better with the 5.

The 7 has it's advantages, mainly in some areas of the sound profile, but it's a bummer that you have to give up so much in other areas.
