Edit : nvm only 13 pro and up gets 1000.
It's like they made a "top shelf" trade extra level for newer trade ins. Problem is it costs me more than $170 more to get anything else (other than a iP13 Pro) vs. a iP12 or the older Galaxies on the list that I might even have laying around from last years deals anyways or buy. Not giving up an S23 Ultra
This is really similar to the Holideals two years ago for MMax Plans (now Go5G+), sans the free airpods. i.e. was $1k off of iP14 Pro with trade in of a 3 year old Pro (11 Pro) and up. And even back then the iP12 only fetched $800 off ($30 less) though an X also would then.

If you want to trade to T-Mobile and got your iPhone 14 prior to 7/1/2024* (which you did if you only have 6 months remaining), then you can pay off the existing device BEFORE you trade it in. In that case, you will continue to get credits, but you'll need to make the up front 6 months of payments (prior to credits). Then you can trade to T-Mobile and get this deal (and you'll also get the remaining 6 months of credits).
* For EIPs that started 7/1/2024 or later, you can no longer advance pay the EIP and keep the credits. Doesn't apply to this person's situation, but added merely for completeness.
I was able to get 830 off with an iPhone 8 trade in 3.5 years ago, to get an iPhone 12 Pro Max, and keep my 35 dollar a month plan (now 40 a month plan) which is already unlimited, through T-Mobile.
The issue is that you have to have expensive plans to get these deals now, and trade in a phone worth about 100 more than the phone that was required to be traded on the other deal.
Thanks for sharing, but pass.
Edit: Oh, you were right! $1,000 trade-in can be done through Apple via T-Mobile financing as well. Thank you for letting me know.
