I don't know where you're getting the "no NPU" thing, think it's standard on the chip and it's advertised with this laptop.

All that said, this is a great deal. The usual "Windows on ARM" disclaimers, make sure you research what programs you'll specifically need, this isn't for everyone, blah blah blah. But for a good many users, this is a solid machine.

Yeah when drafting the post, I was using the online compare feature on Microcenter to figure out if there were any differences compared to the recent $799 deal. The tool said "N/A" under NPU. I took a deeper look at the description and have since removed that line of the post.

Thanks for the update and the transparency as well. In my experience, I've found Microcenter doesn't always provide the most accurate descriptions and should definitely consider reevaluating whatever methods they are currently using in order to improve it.

Smoking deal on the best Windows laptop out there!
The catch: Windows on ARM. Do your research. If you can live with WoA (most people should be able to), you'll absolutely love this thing.
The older x86 version costs twice as much, and this laptop is better in many respects. Yet it's not selling because of WoA. Only 0.8% of new PCs sold in Q3 2024 were Windows on ARM! Google it. Less than 1 in 125.

Any heat problem with the laptop? Is it hot, cold or warm on the bottom?

Saw this price last night and already price matched to Best buy haha.

that being said, this is a smoking deal for incredible laptop. however, these devices seem to be dropping in price pretty fast. I wouldn't expect the Microsoft line to drop too much though as it's positioned as a premium laptop

lovely device by the way. it sans toe to toe with a macbook and I'm definitely enjoying it

Yes I successfully got BB to price match the prior Front Page deal on my second attempt. First rep said no bc it was a "limited stock item" which violates BB PM policy. Second rep didn't even question it and immediately did the PM.

Personally speaking, I got cold feet on the WoA/16 GB and will return it to BB without opening. I instead grabbed today's Costco deal of the Lenovo Slim 7i with 32GB RAM.

Hmm the lunar lake variant? I looked into that one, the display resolution is pretty poor. I'll be sticking with this.

This laptop is great.

I got one for work and think this will be my next laptop once this one dies. It's feels like a MacBook pro but with windows.

Too bad the MicroCenter store near me won't open till next year.
