Seagate. Some have serious hate for any and all Seagate drives.

See the Synology Compatibility List [synology.com] (chose the specific NAS model) to see what drives Synology has tested with a specific Synology NAS model. Around these parts WD Red's, Whites, and it's subsidiary named drives like HSGT seems to be popular to use in NAS's. Quite a few are shucking WD EasyStores or similar external desktop USB HDD for use in NAS's.

This drive at $18.33 per TB isn't great but isn't all that bad if one needs a new 6TB drive for what ever reason. One likely can get a better per TB price for a 6TB drive going with a used enterprise level drive from GoHardDrive.com [goharddrive.com] or ServerPartsDeals.com [serverpartdeals.com]. The trade off is data center used drive instead of new.

Not an expert in this at all. I would be a bit suspicious that used datacenter drive would have a limited lifespan. Have you purchased them before?
