I have been using a TD15-KV and looking to upgrade. Can I get this?

Definitely! This is a huge upgrade. In my opinion this is the best 'value proposition' of all sets because it's the lowest price you can get into their top gear (the digital high hat, digital snare drum, and digital ride). There is little difference between this set and their $5,000-$6,000 sets. However, there is a BIG difference between this set and a TD17 or TD15 due to those three digital pieces I mentioned.

If you can afford it, $2,499 isn't a small amount to most of us, I would definitely get one. Also, Adorama is a great source, I bought mine from them almost a year ago.

edit: also, looks like they're doing 3X points, so you'll get aprox $90 store credit in a couple months. when I bought mine the points were only 1Xs.

I've been following these for a while. This seems like a good price -- but the fine print says it doesn't come with throne, stands, or kick pedal. So I'm no so sure anymore.

Yeah, I've been following edrums closely too, but this is pretty much the standard price at Adorama by now (past deals from Adorama have even been a bit better with add-ons).

And as I said in the previous thread, with rumors of a price drop soon and this set being mid product cycle, I'd hold off.

What is the difference between a budget edrum kit and something like this?
