The steam world games are great metroidvania.. the heist is a turned based RPG type . Not really a fan of turn based games.. but the regular Steam World ones are really fun.

Steamworld Heist is a tactical turn based shooter. Very fun nicely made game, for 1$ it's a steal. Dig2 is fun, too

If I recall, one of the DLCs is basically just new hats, which someone might get a kick out of. The second DLC iirc added a new playable character and some new missions to play through.

I liked the Steamworld DIg games, but I couldn't get into the turn-based style of Heist. I know folks liked Heist too but I just didn't like the gameplay.

Just finished Heist 2. It's a fun, casual game. Bought it at a higher price point because I like to support this studio, but as other commenters have said, the price for this will def go lower.

Heist and Dig 2 at this price is great.

Steamworld Dig 1/2 are near perfect games for me. Good loop of explore, return, upgrade. Okay if you don't play for a few days because you know the next thing you are supposed to do, and not a big long game so you finish them and then move on. Highly recommend.
Heist didn't quite get to me. I think it's a well made game but wasn't exactly for me and I probably only got 1/3 of the way through.

Heist is a great game and I definitely recommend the outsider dlc. Harder than the base game and brutal on the hardest difficulty. Recently beat it for the second time on the 3DS.
