You're wrong. It's exactly the same.

Serious question? Why is this better than gen 4? Why does this model exist? Ususally when they release a new model, it's supposed to have better performance.

The CPU benchmarks are equal to this on the prior generation. Same GPU. Same thickness. This has slower RAM than the soldered gen 4 (ddr5 5600 vs 6400). Other than it being a tiny fraction lighter than the prior one, I'm not seeing any real improvement.

I bought the same laptop for $950 two weeks back. Tempted to return and order a new one, but don't want to go through the process of setting up a new machine again.

If battery life is important to you then you absolutely should, this model is LED and according to many others online the battery life is much better than the OLED screen you and I have in the 64GB model.

I am able to take the battery hit as 95% of my use time has an outlet within reach.

Tiny battery. Should be 50% larger. Would buy if so.

Great deal. Hope they expand to p16/t16 soon
Refurbished ThinkPad T16 Gen3 with Intel Core Ultra (even better battery life) for $7-800 on the Lenovo Outlet. I just picked one up. Still $1500 or so new.

Did the oled version have bigger battery? Which one will run longer on battery?
This low power panel will run longer on battery. 52.5 Wh is the longer life battery for this system. And it is made to be customer replaceable.

Excellent deal. Unfortunately I'm returning the one I ordered during the Cyber Monday sale, I do not like the low blue light display. The screen is much more yellow than it should be. This is supposedly something in Lenovo's calibration, but outside of having a new ICC profile I do not know how to change it.
Try turning off "Vari-bright" feature in the AMD Radeon software. It ruins color accuracy but is unfortunately enabled by default.

Weight?

If you are a business person who travels, you know. 1/2 pound is A LOT.
If you are a business person who travels you'd most likely want 50% more battery life for that half pound. One could easily take the stance a working business person highly values longevity over half pound of inconvenience. This doesn't seem like a reasonable explanation, esp since all equivalent consumer laptops are not significantly heavier and have higher Whr capacity

Heavy weight ? More than 3.5 lb ?
I bought one of the refurb units that went on sale over the black Friday weekend. It weighs about 3 pounds 5 ounces, according to my kitchen scale.
