I wouldn't, it's too large, and precision is 1g, you probably want something that is small enough to fit under the portafilter with a cup on top for pulling shots, with 0.1g precision.

Edit: precision is actually 2.86g, complete no go for espresso.

Just remember there is 28 grams in an ounce, so 3.5 in an 1/8th. Don't skimp on the bag!!
