It was working while leaking grease. A seal probably broke, and maybe it could be repaired, but typically you are on your own for all of that and the 'manufacturer' will not help even if you can figure out who actually makes this stuff. It's not worth any of the time in my opinion.

The bigger concern should be it leaking grease and that getting into your food. Maybe I left out that this leaking was right where you put on the mixing attachments directly above where the bowl and your ingredients are.

It could've been food safe grease but at this price point who knows.

Who knows what kind of metal shavings could be in the grease from the gears though. Not worth risking
