I had an email update that they listed this at $319.20 at some point on Bluetti Official on Ebay so I used ebay's offer to ask if they (Bluetti Official on Ebay) would accept that price point again, to which they accepted right away. Amazon has this for $599 and the smaller pack offering is at $299.
I plan on using this as a designated electronics pack to organize my electronics in one place (cameras, tablet, drone, etc.) to throw along my other camping gear (mostly car camping and some overlanding).
I will likely not solo backpack camp with this, like they show in the promos, because it's gonna be pretty heavy. But I guess if you go with a group and spread the weight load of your other stuff amongst the group so you can be the designated historian/power generator, it could work.
The bag itself (12in × 4.1in × 15.2in) also conforms to most airline's personal item size (but obviously need to dtich the battery for those flights).
Think it's fair at $319.20, given other 512wh systems from other reputable brands are typically $399-$499. But it does not have a 12v outlet, like most of its competitors.

When you qualified with the term "heavier", do you mean the (metal) cylindrical type? As opposed to the "pouch" cell construction? The third type is "Prismatic".
In general, the chemistry doesn't go into thermal runaway as others can, and in the pouch type, build-quality is more critical if safety is primary (but again, still relatively safer).
I saw this statement, fairly sure it's from a Bluetti PR/media blurb, so if it came from a marketing person, YMMV if "battery cell" can be stretched / inferred as "cylindrical cell":

"...The Handsfree Series features automotive-grade lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery cells, offering over 4,000 charging cycles and a lifespan of 10 years. These battery cells are built to perform in extreme temperatures, ranging from -20°C to 40°C."
Edit: A pouch maker has a fun (torture) test to show "where there's smoke, there's no fire" .. at least, less chance of:
https://youtu.be/r93F_CZGSzQ?t=1
(drilling into pouch, just puff of smoke, cell still puts out voltage)

This is why Tesla still uses NCA on their higher performance and higher range cars. LFP, while better in many respects, is heavy and bulky and thus used in the slower cars with less range.
