Had the wallet years ago and stopped using it because it damaged my cards (plastic and metal). It also is quite thick compared to options like slimfold because there is 4 layers of the fabric material.
The travel pack seems to be polarizing but I got it during the Black Friday sale from Costco next (20L for $153.xx delivered). Just had a chance to travel with it and I am very happy with its versatility, capacity, and comfort. I had some reservations from the comments on the previous thread but it's my preferred laptop backpack now compared against tumi alpha, multiple Briggs and Riley, aer tech pack 2, ospreys, and many others. There are a lot of pockets meaning no loose items ever, the internal material is very soft to the touch, handles on both sides and top, water bottle holders on both sides (hated that the aer tech pack only had one) that are magnetic and closes flat when not in use, very comfortable and padded shoulder straps and back, top handle is highly padded as well, can open pretty much all the way on all the compartments making it super easy to pack/unpack or look for something, easy to expand to larger size, well padded laptop and tablet compartment (tumi was bad in this regard), free standing even when empty, and the front material appears to be more scuff resistant than the aer which was my previous preferred backpack. There are a lot of complaints about the weight but it's close to the aer and I didn't notice it. I do prefer luggage handle pass through to be vertical (which it is for the 14L version) but you can use the chest strap as a makeshift method.
Because of how much I liked the nomatic travel pack, I looked at the luggage too. Seems like the classic carry one has one of the best if not best wheels, tough exterior, and magnetic internal straps. However, it is only 30L capacity while Briggs and Riley at same external dimension is around 37L and rimowa carry on is shorter but wider is also 37L. Seems like it would good for someone that doesn't need to pack much and usually does continental flights but I would prefer to have a little more capacity.
Wait, this wallet hold keys inside?! I am like George from Seinfeld and can't imagine switching to this, but those who like slim profile may give this fabric a try 😜
I've tried several elastic minimal wallets and this one has been the best, I've had it for like 5 years and it's still perfect. It's like you took a thread wallet and made it actually good. Really tempted to get a backup
I have the wallet and appreciate how slim it is but only use it when I travel for work and don't need all my cards. With the cards exposed, they were getting destroyed when I used the wallet daily.
For everyone saying they got this wallet and didn't like it - what wallet did you end up getting?
I got a Esr MagSafe w/ find my.
This has been my go to wallet for 2 years now. I got a replacement under warranty due to the fake leather messing up. But it's been great, it's kinda slim, and has Find my built in, where someone would not know it's being tracked. It's also a stand that holds your phone horizontally or vertically, and it has a Loop for your finger to keep the phone safely in your hand.
The price for the wallet is lower than what I paid almost 6 years ago ($20). Considering my wallet is still being used, I'd say it's definitely worth the price.
