Long time Fi user here. I have to say, it's only really worth it if you travel a lot, like more than three months of the year, and even then it's hard to justify the cost in the age of eSIMs that you can just buy per country you visit.

But also, if you have any issue at all (I had intermittent issues in Australia) the first thing the chat support will ask is: are you in the USA right now? And if the answer is no (or they find out it's not), then often tell you they can't help you until you return.
They cut intenrational data off after 90 continuous days abroad, so its really not worth it at all
Not my experience at all. I was in Iceland last year and had no access. I was on the chat with Google Fi for an hour, but I really felt there were several ppl on their end working on the issue. Wasn't immediate satisfaction, but they worked it out.

Last month... the promo was 4 months at half price for new lines. Now, its 6 months at half price. For those trying to gauge how good/bad this deal is.

Good comment. I agree. I used to have G Fi a few year ago, but the $10 per Gig is really not very competitive in todays market.

I've been with GFi for a couple years and every time I consider leaving, they have really good deals on the newest Galaxy S series phones. I'm considering switching to T-Mobile prepaid instead because I might be switching to iOS, and the plans are cheaper. I rarely travel internationally, but I'm the past, I've had a good experience in the Caribbean.

I travel a lot and used to use fi for years. It's really great in that aspect. But I switched recently and just buy eSIMs in those countries I visit and it's usually cheaper. Great alternative if you don't want to constantly buy a new eSIM in every country

Any recommendations for an international eSim plan?

Long time Fi user here as well. I've never had problems with my international travels to Asia. My travels didn't take me to Australia, however. Perhaps reliability is not the same in all countries.

My personal experience, in India. The speed is good if you really have the coverage. It was on and off for me even when I am sitting in the same room.
I was really expecting better experience, but it was not .

as a non traveler, simply unlimited is $25 a month before the 50%, so now its $12.50? seems unbeatable
