I got a 3 qt saute pan last year. It was the first nice cookware I used up to that point. Cooking and cleaning it hasn't been too big of a learning curve for me, but getting my family to cook and care for it the same way I do has been. Luckily, I do 80% of the cooking for the family and have loved the consistency, weight, and feel. Just ordered the 12 inch fry pan, and 3 qt sauce pan to expand to other commonly used dishes here!

Compare this with the Cuisinart deal at Costco. In the warehouse it's $45 for a 5 piece. 3 pans and 2 glass lids. Pans are solid.

I have a number of All Clad stainless steel now (thanks to these recurring deals on SD) and just an FYI to some people that may be new to SS cookware… use a healthy dose of spray-on olive oil to coat pan when you're cooking something like eggs. And when you're cleaning up afterward, these little bristle brushes are game changers (not these particular ones, although this is a good price for 2 — just anything in this style):

As an avid home cook and purchaser from this site, I have accumulated about 40 pieces over the years. My preference is the copper, but for the price point a super close 2nd is the D5. Most used: nonstick stainless fry pans because they are quick and easy. Only non-stick I own. The weekday pan is my favorite and most used, I have both sizes in copper core. Have multiple fry pans, but the lidded ones get more frequent use. Stockpots are another essential and have given the copper as gifts at this amazing price. I mostly get the seconds and have not ever received any with more than a light surface scratch, which I had to really look to find. Hope this helps anyone on the fence. Merry Christmas!
