How hard is it to "forget" the B string and just play it as a 4 string LOL
How does the Charvel in-house neck pickup pair up with the Dimarzio J pickup?
Contrary to what some may say, you can't just forget the B-string. It takes additional efforts to mute it. It won't matter much if you are just playing around, but it will sound like shit if you don't manage it while recording. If you play with a pick, you won't have any issue just palm muting. If you like playing palm-mutey metal stuff at all, then a B is really amazing because you can play percussion on it, and then still have a four sting bass to play.

Nevermind. the cavity is unshielded. The J pickup is quiet, but the P hisses badly.
