The main difference is brightness. The B and C series have the same incredible picture quality, but brightness is a lot different. What type of TV would you be coming from? Most regular LED TVs are only 250-400 nits (nits are the unit of measurement for brightness). QLEDs are usually in the 700 range, unless you get a higher-end one. Mini LED can get up to around 1,500-2,000 (I think). If you're coming from a regular LED, the B series will still be way brighter. The B3 and B4 are in the 650 nit range. The C4 is a little over 1,000.

One other thing is the C series has a better processor. That doesn't always make a noticeable difference, but there is a picture setting on the C and G series that the B doesn't have. For Dolby Vision content, if you put the TV on "Cinema Home" there's an option called "Precision Detail." It enhances dark scenes noticeably. That's not something that can be updated with software, since it requires the better processor. Though, to be honest, I can't find info on if they have put the better processor into the B4 that allows that feature. Most people don't know about Precision Detail, because it's only on the "Cinema Home" and "Vivid" picture presets (don't ever use Vivid, it massively oversaturates the colors). Even rtings (the top audio/video review site) hasn't mentioned Precision Detail in any reviews I've read.

Now that I've said all that, to actually give you a yes or no answer, yes, you would still benefit from a B3 or B4 since you haven't had OLED. Regardless of the brightness difference (they're still plenty bright), they have amazing picture quality. The only issue you would have is if you make the mistake of going and looking at a C4 later, and then wishing you had gotten that. As long as you don't do that, the B series is worth it.
Unless specified that it is covered, burn in is pretty much never covered. However, burn in is not a real issue anymore. It hasn't been for about 5 or 6 years. Yes, it can still happen, but every product in existence has flawed units. You pretty much have to try to get burn in these days, otherwise it comes down to just getting a bad panel. I have a 2-year-old C2 that has thousands of hours on it and not a spec of burn in. I even leave the TV on static images often when I'm not in the room. These have so many safety features now and the tech has come a long way. They've even done tests where these TVs have been left on for an entire year and had no signs of burn in. A friend of mine has a 2018 C9 that he was trying to get burn in on before his 5 year warranty was up, and his still doesn't have it.
Not a slick deal as Costco was getting rid of 65" C3 EVO at this price plus 5 yrs additional warranty on citi cc.

4 year plan for $94, does anyone know it covers burn in? This is what website says, don't see any exclusions so assuming it's covered?

Yep. The 65" B4 was $1,100 pretty much everywhere throughout November. This isn't a slick deal at all.

I have a C1 that has burn in on it, I bought it 2nd hand, the burn in is from the travel channel. It's honestly not that bad tho, and can only really be seen in bright white scenes. Didn't stop me from getting another OLED

I'd suggest spending a bit more for a C3 from Greentoe; $1249 delivered from an Authorized seller.

It's good that yours isn't that noticeable (for the most part).

It's so low risk that it shouldn't keep anyone from getting OLED. There's still so much misinformation out there from people who don't own an OLED, or have had an issue once or twice. A lot of people don't understand averages. They don't understand that just because it happened to them, it doesn't mean it happens to everyone. The majority of OLEDs don't have issues with burn-in.

I think OLEDs are more prone to dead pixels than burn ins! As the other one said, they have many safety features to prevent burn in! Maybe dead pixels are more often in lower tier series (Like B series). I have a 55 inch B9 and it has more than 100 dead pixels around the edges. They are not noticeable from 3 feet or more but still annoying!

Will I benefit from B4 since I've never owned an OLED before? I see posts recommending getting the C3 and C4 but is even noticeable for someone who's never used OLEDs before?

It's a game of nits... If you have a bright TV now, you may be disappointed.

Regardless of the brightness difference (they're still plenty bright), they have amazing picture quality. The only issue you would have is if you make the mistake of going and looking at a C4 later, and then wishing you had gotten that. As long as you don't do that, the B series is worth it.
