The price isn't even that great (DCD999/DCF887 kit with 6ah flex and 2ah regular has been 200 or less), and both tools are now a full generation behind and even the interim revised tools were better (845/850 compact impact drivers and the flexvolt advantage/power detect drills, the 860 impact and 1005 drill are now the "top" models that replaced these as top models) and the 4.0 fats aren't bad but they're also not great as far as capacity vs size and maximum load output. Bottom line, at least with deals you can probably get the NEW top models for not much more, or if top power isn't a concern the cheaper kits/lower models are almost as good for less money.
